Well, its 2014. 2013 was quite a year.
We finished the year with a few lovely projects that all concluded before santa came. This is a pic of an external porchway that was converted to internal, so as to double the size of the hall. You can see the detailing of the brickwork to net in with the original archway.
Aside from this, we successfully completed the LGS project, from my previous blog. A very satisfied customer and a very grateful me, to the RSPCA, for rescuing a cat we found hiding in the floor void.
Actually, a little story from December. A couple called me up, as they were having extensive building works done at their home. The builder had asked them to find their own plumber, so they hired an independent gas engineer to convert their gravity fed boiler/cylinder to an unvented system, and to lay 30sqm of underfloor heating. Unfortunately, this tradesman let them down and left them without the required hardware and mid-build. So we turned up, agreed a price for the works and supplied and fitted a new Vaillant boiler, megaflow cylinder and all the UFH. A relieved, warm and very grateful customer went into xmas period with very happy builders, who could now complete their works too.
Now, as 2014 kicks off in earnest, we are looking forward to several building projects and aiming to focus on loft and garage conversions in the early part of the year. We'll see what 2014 brings.......
